Who do I contact when the weather is threatening?

Soccer players may play in rain, snow and mud but we don’t play when lightening is present. If a storm is clearly going to result in the cancellation of a game or practice your child’s coach will likely contact you to confirm the cancellation in advance. In most cases however the forecast is less clear and storms may pass quickly.

When in doubt and if not contacted in advance, you should head to the field where a decision will be made by the coaching staff and/or game officials.

Practices and games may be temporarily interrupted while brief storms pass over.

We will not play for at least 15 minutes after lightning is seen from the field.

What can I do to help my Child’s Team?

If you are interested in coaching please contact our Board Member in charge of coaching and player development. Each team normally has a parent manager to assist with the various logistics of running a team. Contact your coach to see if this role has been filled or if you can assist with the various tasks that need to be completed.
