Groups: Grades 4 – 6
Pending registration we typically have up to 6 teams.
Program Description:
This soccer season and age group is a lot of fun. The skill level increase
nearly every week. They learn game, in addition to strengthening their individual
soccer skills while learning how to play in variable weather conditions.
It's a season when it all starts to come together for this age group.
Development Objective:
The fall league is an excellent opportunity to get additional outdoor soccer
practice and game time.
General Program Coaching Guidelines:
Although practice time is limited due to decreasing daylight during the
weeknights we encourage coaches to select 1 or 2 related skills to work on
in one practice. Then use 1/3 of their training session for isolating individual
skill work, 1/3 relating the skill to game like situations and the balance
for "let them play" scrimmage time.
Fall Information:
Most teams play in the fall league hosted by Canandaigua Area Soccer League
(CASL) with games played on the 3 fields at Baker
Park. Games are played
Sunday afternoons from Mid September to end of October.
Practice Locations:
Coaches will contact players to advise which night of the week practices
will be held, the time of practice and which Bloomfield field will be used.
